Indonesian airport operator, Angkasa Pura II, posted profits of IDR1.26 trillion (US$138 million) in 2010, driven by a strong performance from Jakarta’s Soekharno Hatta International Airport. Local news portal, tribunnews.com, reported that the capital airport’s IDR1.57 trillion profit made up for losses at seven other hubs across the country. Airports in Palembang, Padang, Banda Aceh, Tanjung Pinang, Jambi and Bangka, as well as Jakarta’s secondary hub, Halim Perdana Kusumah airport, all suffered losses. Profits were seen at airports in Medan, Pekanbaru, Pontianak and Bandung.
