International traffic down for JAL

Japan Airlines Group (JAL) has announced its international passenger traffic dropped 13.8% during this year’s Golden Week. Although the number of domestic passengers rose by 10.8% during the traditional Japanese vacation, the European passenger count fell 18.8% as many were affected by the Iceland volcano disruptions and Thailand advice. However, the airline faced an overall load factor of 80%, up 7.1% than last year and the seat load factor of domestic flights rose by 10.1% to 74.4%.
