Oman Air has become the first airline in the world to offer mobile and broadband internet on its flights. Besides the take off and landing time, passengers can use their mobile phones as they normally would on the ground. This includes sending and receiving phone calls, texts, voicemails and emails. Philippe Georgiou, Oman Air’s Chief Officer Corporate Affairs said: “This is in line with Oman Air global vision, which is to continue offering discerning passengers a unique travel experience, at both the level of the product itself, as well as all levels of services on board, in this case pioneering cutting edge technology.” The service will be charged as a roaming nature as if you were using a phone in a foreign country.
