The inaugural Isan Food Festival is being held in Khon Kaen, Thailand for 10 days from March 7-9. The Festival will feature a culinary master-class weekend, visiting chefs, guest lecturers to celebrate Northeast Thailand’s fabled cooking. Workshops revolving around the Festival include one aptly named – ‘Improbably Edible Cuisine’ which features the Isan custom of eating fried locust and lizard, and stir fried silk worm as well as the Isan/Lao specialty of ant egg soup.
The Sofitel Raja Orchid is offering a special package incorporating two nights accommodation and the weekend Master Class for two people.
