Italy to hold two-city workshops

In an effort to showcase key cultural events, exhibitions and shows around the Expo 2015 Milano, Italy will hold two workshops in Dubai and Muscat. The decision to hold the workshops stem from recent statistics which show that number of tourists from the Gulf choosing Italy their holidays is constantly raising, thanks to the economic growth of the GCC countries and air links increase.
The Workshop Italia Dubai and Muscat is organized by Enit Area Asia & Oceania – Dubai agency. The first workshop in Dubai is being held on 10 November while Muscat will conduct the event on 11 November 2014.
This is also the first time Italy is conducting a workshop in Oman. The purpose is to further develop opportunities and open a new market to Italian tour operators. The initiative is aimed at improving visibility and increasing the Italian tourism offer in the Oman market.
Italy has proven to be among the 10 preferred destinations by UAE residents, whose expense for the outbound travels has grown to 36%. According to a recent ENIT monitoring, tourist flow coming from the UAE has increased by 20% during the course of last year.
