Customs and excise officers at Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport have impounded two Boeing 737-200 planes operated by Kartika Airlines, the Jakarta Post has reported. The planes were seized because their temporary import licenses had expired.
The office said Kartika would be fined IDR25 million (US$27,000) for failing to secure the permanent import licenses for the planes.
