JAL International plans to take over the routing completely from JAA by first placing its ‘JL’ designator on all JAA flights from April 2008 at the earliest, and by integrating JAA into its business structure at some point in the future.
JAL said by integrating JAA into the group, it hopes to cut costs and duplication.
JAA currently operates eight passenger flights daily on four routes connecting Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya with Taipei, and Tokyo with Kaohsiung.
