Japan Airlines (JAL) has started an experiment aimed at reducing the use of energy for air conditioners inside aircraft, hoping to curb CO2 emissions and lower operational costs. According to a Kyodo News report, JAL is lowering window shades in the passenger cabin to keep the temperature from rising when the aircraft is on the ground.
