Owner of Japan Airlines, the JAL Group, will introduce the Embraer 190 on 16 May 2016.
In collaboration with the J-Air Corporation (J AIR), the JAL Group’s 100% owned regional airline subsidiary, the first aircraft will serve the Osaka (Itami)–Kagoshima route. J AIR is the first Japanese airline to introduce the E190 fleet.
The operating routes of the E190 will be expanded progressively, with the “Class J” service on domestic flights. The next scheduled services are the Itami-Sendai route and the Itami-Fukuoka route.
The E190 has been delivered since 2005 and has sold 44 airlines worldwide purchased, with 523 aircraft as of 31 December 2015.
Under the slogan “Embrace New Challenges”, JAL will aim to enhance on-time performance service and strengthen its regional network.
