Japan Airlines (JAL Group) has announced it will merge its overseas and domestic tour companies next year. The businesses, JALPAK and JAL Tours, will officially join on 1 April and will be known as JALPAK. “Besides strengthening the foundation of its management and improving efficiency, the merger between JALPAK and JAL TOURS also brings down the fence that separates the product development of domestic and international tour packages, allowing the new JALPAK to offer a wider range of innovative products and to implement new, more effective sales techniques,” JAL said in a statement.
