JAL requests airfare revision

Japan Air Lines (JAL) has filed an application with the Japanese government requesting a revision of international airfares for flights departing the country.
The revision will result in international normal interline fares for travel from Japan to the Americas increasing by 13%, to Korea and India increasing by 10%, and to other parts of Asia increasing by 7%.
The revision will take effect from 1 April, 2009, subject to government approval.
