JAL retires last of classic 747s

The JAL Group’s last ‘classic jumbo jet’ made its final flight yesterday, ending an era of the Boeing 747 Classic type of aircraft in the company’s fleet. The 747-300 flew from Honolulu to Narita for the final time, where it was received at the gate by its designer, Joseph F. Sutter, the ‘Father of the 747’.
