JAL shows improved performance in July

Japan Airlines Group has released its operating results for July, which proved to be its strongest month so far this financial year. Having made radical cut backs on all services, available seat kilometres and revenue seat kilometres show significant year on year drops, however the gap narrowed some what during July.
In fact the group’s performance improved significantly in this month, registering a load factor of 71.5% on international operations, compared to 61.1% in the first quarter. Looking across the network, the group’s transpacific services were the most popular, carrying 131,074 passengers in July and registering a load factor of 82.5%. Flights to Korea were also highly efficient, registering load factors of 82.8%. Performance also improved on domestic routes, which logged a monthly load factor of 61.5%, up 6.2 percentage points on the first quarter average.
