Japan Air Lines (JAL) plans to cut 2,140 jobs at its main international unit, according to a Bloomberg report. The cuts amount to approximately 13% of the unit’s staff, with implementation expected by March 2011, the report quotes out-going Public Relations Manager, Stephen Pearlman, as saying in a telephone interview. Some jobs will move to other parts of the company, the report added.
