Japan flight cancelled after co-pilot seeks relief

JAL was forced to cancel a flight from Hawaii to Tokyo last week after a co-pilot was detained by police for urinating in a public place, the airline was reported saying. According to a Japan Times report, the 53-year-old co-pilot was held by police in Honolulu, causing him to miss the departure time. A replacement co-pilot could not be found until the following day, with the delay affecting 297 passengers.
