Japan, Taiwan sign air services pact

Taiwan and Japan have penned a new air treaty to expand flight services between the two countries, Taiwan News has reported. Under the agreement, the number of permitted weekly flights from Taiwan to Japan’s Kansai region and central Japan will be increased from 28 to 45, including four new daily round-trip flights between Taipei Songshan Airport and Tokyo’s Haneda Airport, the report said. Flights between Taipei and Okinawa will also be increased.
