Jazeera Airways profit soars 94%

Kuwaiti low-cost carrier, Jazeera Airways, has seen its profits rise 94.4% in 2008, Gulf News reported. The airline’s net profit for last year totalled KWD4.5 million (US$15.3 million).
“Jazeera Airways continues to surprise the market with year on year revenue and profit growth. This despite the challenges in 2008 from high fuel prices” Jazeera Chairman, Marwan Boodai, was quoted saying.
Launched in 2005, Jazeera Airways operates eight Airbus A320s to 25 destinations.
