South Korea-based Jeju Air has ordered five Boeing 737-800s valued at US$370 million at list prices.
The 737s will be the first Boeing airplanes to enter the Jeju Air fleet. The airline currently operates five regional jets of smaller capacity, Boeing said.
Jeju Air said the planes will be used for its routes within Korea as well as to Japan, China and other Asia Pacific regions. The single-aisle jet can seat between 162 and 189 passengers.
