Jet Airways has come to a compromise on the increasingly troublesome issue of travel agents’ commission. Following dialogue with India’s travel agent associations, the carrier has announced it will reintroduce commission at a rate of 3% on gross fares (defined as basic fare plus fuel surcharge) on domestic and international tickets sold in India. The new commission scheme will come into effect immediately.
The resolution follows several travel agent associations saying they would boycott selling Jet tickets.
