Jet Airways forms FFP partnership with airberlin

Jet Airways has deepened its partnership with airberlin, with the launch of reciprocal frequent flier benefits.
Effective this week, members the Indian airline’s JetPrivilege FFP will be able to earn and redeem JPMiles on airberlin’s flights. Similarly, members of airberlin’s topbonus programme can earn and redeem points across Jet’s network.
For JetPrivilege’s Platinum, Gold and Silver members, the new partnership will offer additional benefits such as excess baggage allowance, dedicated airport check-in counters and access to lounges. These benefits are available to members travelling on codeshare flights operated by airberlin to Berlin and Dusseldorf, via Abu Dhabi, and on qualifying airberlin flights to more than 150 destinations.
“The new codeshare destinations with airberlin are an important extension to the Jet Airways international network, enhancing our product offering and providing greater choice and convenience to our guests. The partnership between JetPrivilege and airberlin will further enrich the experience for our guests,” said Raj Sivakumar, Jet’s chief commercial officer.
Jet has been increasing its cooperation with airberlin since it was partially acquired by Etihad Airways, which also owns a stake in the German carrier.
