Jet Airways goes daily to US

The first flight flew from Mumbai to New York’s Newark Liberty International Airport, with a full passenger load and was greeted on the taxi-way by Newark Liberty fire-trucks which doused the Boeing 777 with jets of water, the airline world’s traditional celebratory greeting.
Jet Airways is utilizing brand new Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft for the New York route, carrying 312 passengers in a three-class layout
On September 5, Jet Airways will be launching service from Toronto to Delhi, and additional gateways – including New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport – will come online by early 2008.
Commenting on the inauguration, Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, Chief Executive Officer, Jet Airways says, “This is truly a historic moment for us, commencing service on this important sector and connecting India with the United States.
