Jet Airways has reported its quarterly losses narrowed by 86% from the previous year.
The airline announced a net loss of INR997 million in the second quarter, down sharply from INR7.13 billion loss posted in the same period last year. “An improvement in the yields has helped the group to post an operating profit. Slowdown in passenger traffic due to a weakened economic scenario and high fuel prices pushed the carrier into red.”Nikos Kardasssis, Chief Executive of Jet Airways was quoted by the Hindustan Times.
