Jet Airways will increase the number of flights it operates to Dubai next month.
Effective 14 October 2014, the Indian carrier will launch a fifth daily service between Mumbai and Dubai, using a Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
The new flight will initially depart Mumbai at 0200, with the return service leaving Dubai at 0455. But from 26 October, the timing will be shifted to a 0140 departure from Mumbai and a 0500 take-off from Dubai.
“We are happy to introduce a fifth service on the popular Mumbai-Dubai route, which has seen a steady growth in traffic be it tourists or business travellers,” said Gaurang Shetty, senior vice president of commercial at Jet Airways.
“This flight would provide easy connectivity for guests, especially from western India, flying to and from the United Arab Emirates. This new service too is expected to be equally popular with travellers.”
Jet now operates nine daily flights between India and Dubai, including services from Mumbai, Delhi and Kochi. It also connects Mumbai with a series of other Gulf destinations, including Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dammam, Doha, Kuwait, Muscat and Sharjah.
