Jet registers one lakh Facebook fans

Amidst a global social media frenzy, the number of Facebook fans a company can garner is a point of pride and measure of success. Jet Airways has become one of Asia’s leading airlines in the field after it recently passed the 100,000 fans mark. According to Jet this puts it ahead of all other Indian airlines and the top five carriers in Asia. The site was launched back in January this year with the primary objective of engaging members, providing them with real-time news updates about flight schedules, new passenger programs, route additions, services, special offers and competitions. Sudheer Raghavan, Chief Commercial Officer for Jet Airways said; “Reaching the one lakh fan milestone in under a year on Facebook stands testimony to the success of the company’s social media initiatives in actively reaching out to and engaging a large segment of company stakeholders.”
