Karaoke ban for UNESCO town

The authorities of Hoi An, Vietnam’s UNESCO World Heritage-listed town, has banned karaoke bars and nightclubs as part of a drive to manage trade in the ancient town, Vietnam Net Bridge has reported. The local government has also banned nearly all heavy industry, with development emphasis placed on arts activities, museums and the souvenir trade.
