Kate Middleton confirmed as Princess godmother

Princess Cruises has confirmed that Kate Middleton will be godmother of the line’s new vessel, the Royal Princess.
The line’s president, Alan Buckelew, said it was a great honour to have the royal involved with the launch of the company’s new vessel. It will be named officially at a ceremony in Southampton on 13 June.
Alan Buckelew, the line’s president and chief executive said: “It is a great honour for Princess Cruises that Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge has accepted our invitation to become the godmother to Royal Princess. We are delighted that the Duchess will launch our new ship and can think of no better way to celebrate our company’s British heritage and our commitment to the country.”
The announcement comes after a series of releases by Princess including the news it was to increase commissions to 10% and hire a new head of sales, Alex White.
