Khareef season to attract more Oman Air flights

The upcoming Khareef season will see Oman Air significantly increase number of flights Muscat and Salalah.
The increase will mean that the airline operates more flights to Salalah.
Between June and September, the carrier will operate 284 return flights from Muscat to Salalah. This represents a 11% increase in flights compared with 2014, and means that as many as 352,738 passengers will have an opportunity to fly Oman Air.
Chief operating officer for Oman Air, Abdulrahman Al-Busaidy said: “Salalah is one of the most important destinations within Oman Air’s network. Each year has seen us operate more flights, this season, we will not only utilise regional and narrow-body aircraft on the route, but also the Airbus A330 wide-body aircraft.”
In 2014, 84% of additional seats Oman Air offered during the Khareef were utilised. As a result, more than 11,000 more visitors arrived in the region.
