KidZania to launch in Bangkok
Children’s theme park KidZania has continued its Asian expansion with the launch of a new outlet in Bangkok.
KidZania’s concept, which gives children the chance to role-play real jobs in huge indoor cities, has now been exported to 12 global locations, including six in Asia Pacific: Tokyo, Osaka, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul and now Bangkok. The new park is spread across 10,000m² in the Siam Paragon shopping mall, central Bangkok. Kids will be able to choose from more than 80 careers in 65 establishments, including banks, restaurants, hospitals and sports stadiums. It has also partnered with local companies, including AirAsia.
“KidZania Bangkok joins a global community that connects more than 20 million children from around the world as a way to promote change, inspire global citizenship, and build strong community awareness,” said Xavier Lopez Ancona, president and founder of KidZania. “We believe KidZania Bangkok is an exceptional addition to the Thai community – delivering real-world, learning moments that inspire kids to be their best selves and make their world better.”
KidZania Thailand will open to the public on 29 March 2013.
