A new elevated covered walkway has opened in Kuala Lumpur. The new MYR10 million (US$3.3 million) air-conditioned facility is 142 metres long and connects the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) and with the Hotel Impiana. Malaysian daily, the New Strait Times, reported that the walkway is the first in a series of such links planned for the city, which will eventually connect the city’s public transport, including the monorail, with popular tourist spots.
