KLM flights almost full in Q2

Increasing customer demand and careful capacity management has seen KLM record impressive cabin load factors in the second quarter of 2011. The Dutch airline’s flights were, on average 87.3% full in the three months to 30 June 2011 – up 1.2 percentage points compared to the same period last year. Passenger traffic increased 6.9% year-on-year, while the carrier’s seat capacity expanded 5.4%.
KLM’s routes to the Americas were the star performers, experiencing traffic growth of 9.1% and average load factors in excess of 90%.
