KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is offering its customers opportunity to book GetYourGuide tours and activities through KLM using Messenger, KLM.com, the KLM app, or the portal on board KLM flights.
The airline’s new partnership, with the online booking platform for tours and activities, means KLM customers can now book over 30,000 tours and activities at more than 2,500 destinations around the globe, directly through KLM’s platforms. Reservations can be made as soon as customers have booked a flight or checked in, during their flight, or at any other time.
Most GetYourGuide tours and activities can be booked at less than 24 hours’ notice and offer paperless tickets, as a QR code scan provides admission, plus there are push notifications for upcoming tours and activities.
Peter Groeneveld, senior vice president of digital at Air France KLM, said: “By offering GetYourGuide tours and activities alongside other supplementary products, such as cars and hotels, we make it possible for our customers to arrange their entire journey through the KLM platform of their choice.
“Customers can do this weeks ahead of a trip, or even during the flight. We have found the right partner in GetYourGuide, as they offer the most complete range of tours and activities. There’s something to suit everyone in a digitally savvy way that matches KLM’s own innovative touchpoints.”
Tao Tao, COO of GetYourGuide, added: “In making our global inventory of tours and attractions accessible to travellers around the world, we look for partners with a finger on the customer’s pulse and an eye on the future. KLM is an undisputed leader in the airline industry in its commitment to digital innovation and we are excited to transform our customers’ trips into amazing experiences together.”
