Korea hopeful of tombs UNESCO listing

South Korea’s Joseon tombs are likely to be designated as UNESCO World Heritage sties, a Korean government agency has said. According to a Korea Herald report, the 40 royal tombs, dating from 1392, are will get the final approval in June.
They will add to the country’s eight UNESCO World Heritages sites, including the Seokguram Grotto, Jongmyo Shrine and Changdeokgung Palace Complex.
