South Korea has opened a tourism representative office in Mumbai to increase awareness of the attractions of the country in western India.Korea National Tourist Office has an office in Delhi and the country expects to increase arrivals from India by 20% this year. Last year, Korea received 86,547 visitors from India, which was 18.8% more than the previous year.The country has been active in the trade and consumer circles, trying to promote places in addition to Seoul.The growing business ties between India and Korea – evident from the recent visit of the Indian President, Mrs Pratibha Patil – is also expected to increase awareness and tourism to the country.
