Korea Tourism signs deal with Yahoo!

The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) has signed a cooperation pact with Yahoo! to promote the country online. According to a Korea Herald report, the KTO will be working with Yahoo! In China, Japan, Singapore and Taiwan to launch its online tourism promotion campaign, ‘Korea: 100 Sparkles’.
Jeju golf tourism on the upswing (Korea, Golf Tourism, Regional News)
The number of golf tourists visiting the South Korean island of Jeju increased sharply in the first half of this year. The Korea Herald reported that 724,740 golfers played rounds in Jeju in the six-month period, up 15% year-on-year. Of this total 455,199 were tourists. Officials added that Jeju is likely to meet its annual target of 1 million visitors by the end of this year.
