Commencing 22 August, Korean Air will launch a new code-share agreement with China Southern Airlines on the Incheon-Urumqi route.
Korean Air’s flights depart from Incheon International Airport, Seoul, on Tuesday and Saturday and China Southern Airlines will operate on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, giving a choice of five flights a week on the route.
Urumuqi, is the capital of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in North West of the People’s Republic of China and is a central developmental target for the China Western Development project.
The codeshare agreement will offer greater convenience and choice to passengers. Korean Air currently has code share partnerships with 29 airlines on 319 routes worldwide, including SkyTeam partner airlines such as China Southern Airlines, Delta and Air France. The Incheon-based carrier will continue to expand opportunities for code share partnerships to provide the most convenient schedules for its passengers.
