Céleste at The Lanesborough has received its first Michelin star, one year on from the hotel’s extensive renovation. Hailing a new culinary era for the hotel, Céleste combines French savoir faire, and takes inspiration from London as a global capital for cuisine.
Led by Chef Patron Eric Frechon – the Michelin-starred chef and a key figure at Oetker Collection’s Le Bristol since 1999, and Executive Chef Florian Favario – previously Head Chef at Epicure at Le Bristol – Céleste is quickly becoming one of London’s top restaurants.
The former right hand of Eric Frechon in Paris, Florian Favario now directs the Céleste team on a daily basis alongside Pastry Chef Nicolas Rouzaud who was also previously at Le Bristol under the leadership of Laurent Jeannin. With Frechon and Favario responsible for the restaurant’s concept, menu creation and team management since its launch, Favario brings his wealth of experience and creativity which add to his generous, rigorous, yet refined gourmet cuisine.
Eric Frechon comments on this fifth Michelin star: “It is a real honour to be awarded a fifth Michelin star in my career, and at our new restaurant in London that only launched one year ago. It is of course a pleasure to share this star with Florian Favario, Nicolas Rouzaud and the kitchen and dining team.”
