Lao Central’s first Sukhoi emerges from paint shop
The first Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ-100) to be delivered to Lao Central Airlines has emerged from the Russian planemaker’s paint shop, adorned with the Asian airline’s white and green livery.
Vientiane-based Lao Central has ordered three SSJ-100s, along with options for a further six, with deliveries due to start in the next few weeks. Lao Central will fly the regional jets in a two-class, 93-seat configuration to destinations including Bangkok, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore.
Lao Central will become the second Asian operator of the SSJ-100, following Indonesia’s Sky Aviation, which took delivery of its first aircraft in December 2012.
