Lockerbie anniversary marked

Relatives of the 270 people killed in the Lockerbie air disaster have been marking the 20th anniversary of the tragedy. Pan Am Flight 103 exploded over the town on 21 December 1988, claiming the lives of everyone on board and 11 local residents of the town in southern Scotland.
According to a BBC report, ceremonies took place in the town, while another was held at London’s Heathrow Airport chapel. A tribute also took place in the US at the Lockerbie memorial in the Arlington National Cemetery, Washington DC.
