According to a report published by Concur, London is the most expensive city in Europe for business travellers.
The study, which analysed average spend in the world’s most popular cities, also confirmed that the UK capital was the fifth most expensive city in the world.
London also came top in the most popular international destinations outside of the US, ranked on overnight hotel stays.
The average spend of a stay in the UK’s capital came to around US$516 – split between dining, entertainment, ground transport and lodging. The most expensive city for business travel was Brisbane (US$547) followed by Tokyo (US$540), Sydney (US$524) and Perth (US$520).
Other cities which made the top 10 included Stockholm (US$513), Melbourne (US$474), New York (US$472) and Paris (US$463). Dubai (US$455) came eleventh.
