World-famous clipper ship the Cutty Sark is among the new attractions introduced by popular sightseeing discounter London Pass for summer 2015.
From 1 May London Pass holders will gain free entry to the ship, normally priced at £13.50 per person.
The introduction of the Cutty Sark continues the London Pass’s development of Greenwich as a hub for its customers.
Last autumn saw the Royal Observatory added to the portfolio, while the National Maritime Museum, Fan Museum and Wernher Collection at Ranger’s House are also offered, as is a one-day ‘hop-on, hop-off’ Thames City Cruises ticket which offers scenic transport to and from Greenwich.
The London Pass is also aiming to tap into the worldwide popularity of the BBC TV series Sherlock by introducing a one-hour guided Sherlock Holmes Walking Tour. Participants are invited to don deerstalkers and explore the locations featured in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s original novels as well as a range of on-screen adaptations.
Normally priced at £10 per person, the Sherlock Holmes tour is the second Best LDN Walks tour to be included on the London Pass following the popular addition of the ‘Royal London – Tarts & Tiaras’ walk last year.
Another new introduction for May 2015 is the Science Museum’s IMAX Theatre.
London Pass holders will now be able to experience a 3D film (normally £10 per person) on one of the UK’s largest cinema screens. The IMAX Theatre shows a range of educational films transporting visitors to the moon, under the sea or into deep space, with the 3D effect placing them right in the heart of the action.
A one-day London Pass is priced at £49 per adult and £33 per child (aged 5-15), and on a one-day break visitors to the city can save after visiting just three attractions.
