Lords Hotels & Resorts has signed a new property in the city of Bharuch, making it the largest midscale hotel group in Gujarat.
To be branded under the Lords Eco Inn banner, the new hotel is scheduled to commence operations in December 2016, becoming the company’s 15th property in the northwestern state. Located between the major cities of Surat and Vadodara, Lords Eco Inn Bharuch offers 48 rooms.
“The addition of this hotel to our chain of hotels marks a significant milestone and one that is unique for us,” said PR Bansal, chairman & managing director of Lords Hotels & Resorts. “From the first hotel back in 2007 which was set in this very state to this one in 2016, we have gone on to become the largest chain of true value hotels in Gujarat. Today our hotels dot the entire region.
“Our endeavour is to offer services across the spectrum and symbolize Indian hospitality in all that we offer,” he added.
The new hotel becomes the sixth Eco Inn-branded hotel in Gujarat. Lords now operates all four of its hotel brands in the state, including Lords Plaza, Lords Inn, Lords Resort and Lords Eco Inn. Across India, the hotel group now operates a total of 26 hotels.
“We have been looking to aggressively establish our presence across the country while maintaining Gujarat as the home,” explained Rishi Puri, vice president of Lords Hotels & Resorts.
“In the last few months we have added three new properties in Jammu, Agra and Thrissur. We are looking to expand our portfolio not just in India but also outside, especially in the neighbouring countries where the hospitality sector still has a huge margin for scaling up.
“With experience and ability on our side, we intend to capitalise on the opportunity and offer our services there too,” he concluded.
