Louis Cruises has unveiled its new 2013 eight-day/seven-night Greece and Turkey itinerary.
The new itinerary will include visits to the island of Chios and Symi for the first time.
The new itinerary will depart from Athen’s port of Lavrion and will allow passengers to have a full day in Istanbul as the port is closer to Istanbul than other ports. The itinerary also provides for a full day in Crete and Santorini and an extended stay in Mykonos.
The new port of call on the island of Chios, known as the fragrant flower of the Aegean, is famous for its mastic trees unique to this island and is a nice addition to the itinerary. Relatively unknown to most tourists, this wooded island offers a traditional culture, golden sand and pebble beaches, extraordinary caves and medieval villages.
Symi is a small island with a big history serving as the capital of the Dodecanese which supported a population of approximately 30,000 till the early 1990s. Today the island is inhabited by a permanent population of around 2500 and visitors are welcome with a warm hospitality, in the cosmopolitan port, stunning architecture from the 18th and 19thcentury and lively restaurants and bars. The itineraries will be performed by Louis Cristal and Louis Olympia and will operate from 26 April to 25 October 2013.
