lowcostbeds has continued to expand its presence in Asia Pacific, having recently taken part in its first major trade show in the region.
The company attended this month’s PATA Travel Mart in Cambodia, where it held a series of meetings with buyers from travel agencies, tour operators and B2B accommodation specialists from Southeast Asia, India, China, Hong Kong, Japan and Australia.
“Exhibiting at PATA Travel Mart for the first time provided the ideal opportunity for us to showcase our 200,000-plus properties and to demonstrate our powerful lowcostbeds technology platform,” said lowcostbeds’ Australian director, Sophie Cann.
“Buyers from a range of companies were impressed by our vast product range of global hotels and understood how our solution could add value to their business. We will now ramp up our efforts on developing more directly contracted hotel product across Asia Pacific to support our growth in the region.”
Ms Cann was joined at the PATA Travel Mart by lowcostbeds’ Bangkok-based trade XML account manager for Asia Pacific, Thamarong Wanarithikul, and regional business development manager for Asia Pacific, Terry Wong.
lowcostbeds arrived in the Asia Pacific region for the first time in 2013, opening offices in Bangkok and Sydney. The company forms part of the lowcosttravelgroup, which now operates 10 offices worldwide, employing 450 staff.
