Thailand’s Absolute Hotel Services (AHS) has unveiled plans to open a luxury Eastin Grand hotel on the Vietnamese island of Phu Quoc.
Scheduled to launch in late 2018, the Eastin Grand Resort Phu Quoc will form part of a major new mixed-used development covering 85 hectares at Long Beach, on the island’s west coast.
Once open, the resort will feature more than 600 rooms, suites and villas, plus a beach club, restaurants, bars, swimming pools, a spa, fitness centre and conference facilities.
“We are really excited to be developing a luxury Eastin Grand resort on the beautiful island of Phu Quoc,” said Jonathan Wigley, CEO of AHS. “We expect Vietnam to become our largest market in terms of number of keys by the end of 2016 showing the tremendous growth in the demand to the destination.”
At present, AHS operates hotels in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Sapa under its Eastin and U brands. But it is planning a major expansion in the country over the coming months and years, including plans for a series of new properties in Hanoi, Nha Trang, Danang and Phu Quoc.
