Luxury Hotels Group is planning to add 200 new hotels members in India during the current fiscal year.
The Times of India reported the company’s managing director, Rahul Arora, as setting the target. The hotels will be mainly from smaller Indian chains and independent properties, he said.
The group is looking at cities across the country including Chandigarh, Amritsar, Delhi, Pune, Bhopal, Aurangabad, Indore, Bhopal, Cochin, Kolkata and north-eastern states.
“The company is also focusing on the tier II and tier III cities for future growth,” the company’s director of business development for Asia, Amarpal Chandok, was quoted saying.
Indian market accounts for around 30% of group’s revenues and number of hotels. The group has 150 hotels in India ranging from three- to five-star properties.
