Macau’s gaming revenues climbed to a new monthly record of MOP26.85 billion (US$3.3 billion) last month, according to figures released yesterday by the city’s Gaming Inspection & Coordination Bureau.
The result marked only the fourth time the city’s monthly gaming revenues had exceeded US$3 billion. October’s revenue also marked a 26% increase over the revenues recorded in September 2011, and a 42% rise from October 2010.
For the first 10 months of 2011, Macau’s gaming revenue jumped 45% year-on-year to MOP221.2 billion.
