As moreMainland Chinese visit Macau, the Macaugovernment said it would “adjust the management measures” for inbound and outboundtours.
From 1August, Chinese mainland citizens holding passports and visiting Macau for the first time will be allowed to stay onlyseven days, down from the original 14.
For thesecond visit, tourists who intend to pass through Macau but not go abroadare permitted to stay in Macau for two daysand a third visit will be rejected.
From 1September, Chinese mainland citizens who hold a pass to and from Hong Kong andMacau but without a valid endorsement to Macau will be not allowed to enterMacau via Hong Kong
In arelated development, the Statistics and Census Service of Macau said Macau saw over 2.3 million tourists in June 2008, anincrease of 22% from the same month last year.
