Australia’s Toga Hotels has rebranded its Medina Apartment Hotels properties.
Effective immediately, 17 of the Medina Apartment Hotels in Australia will now be known as Adina Apartment Hotels, while the remaining four have been rebadged as Medina Serviced Apartments.
The company said the rebranding was intended to “simplify the accommodation choice within the group for guests when travelling across Australia and Europe”. The Adina Apartment Hotel brand already has properties in Germany, Denmark and Hungary and the rebranding of the Australian Medina Apartment Hotels will bring them in line with the European properties. The Adina brand, which was created by Toga in 2005 as it developed its portfolio in Europe, offers serviced apartments with kitchens, laundries and living spaces. The Medina brand, which was established by Toga in 1983, will live on, in the form of the four Medina Serviced Apartments properties in Australia.
“Our group is looking to the future of our apartment hotel brands and the ongoing accommodation needs of our guests. The distinction between Adina Apartment Hotels and Medina Serviced Apartments is clear – Adina is apartment-style accommodation with full hotel service and Medina represents the traditional serviced apartment offering,” said Toga’s CEO, Rachel Argaman.
Toga now operates 53 hotels and serviced residences under four brands – Adina Apartment Hotels, Medina Serviced Apartments, Vibe Hotels and Travelodge Hotels – in Australia, New Zealand and Europe. But the company is planning several new openings in the coming years, including three new Adina Apartment Hotels in the Sydney area.
