The Malaysia Airlines website has been hacked by the group that calls itself the ‘Lizard Squad’.
Visitors to malaysiaairlines.com on Monday were presented with an image of a suited lizard and the message ‘404 – Plane Not Found’, in apparent reference to the loss of flight MH370.
It then said the site has been ‘Hacked by Lizard Squad – Official Cyber Caliphate’.
The Lizard Squad emerged last year when it took responsibility for hacks on North Korea and gaming networks Xbox Live and PlayStation.
Malaysia Airlines’ site remains down (1.50pm local time on 26 January 2015).
But MAS bookings can still be made via: https://bookings.malaysiaairlines.com/MHOnline/ApplicationStartAction.do
