Malaysian LCCs to expand ops

Malaysian low-cost carriers (LCCs), AirAsia and Firefly, both plan to broaden their route networks before the end of 2008, Bernama has reported.
AirAsia will commence services from its Kuala Lumpur base to Tiruchilapally, India, while its long-haul arm, AirAsia X will also launch its KL-Perth, KL-Melbourne flights in November.
Firefly meanwhile will launch services from Penang to the twin Sumatran hubs of Medan and Banda Aceh.
